Job Description:

We're seeking a German speaking Business Development manager with experience of selling software or other technology products into the Hospitality and Catering sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to sell a software product that not only saves customers a lot of money, but also makes a significant positive contribution to the environment.
Our client solves one of the biggest issues facing the hospitality sector by significantly reducing food waste. Astonishingly, one third of food is wasted between farm and plate. Using our client's artificial intelligence software can reduce wastage by up to 50%. It's a $1 Trillion problem worldwide!

Having just been named one of the fastest growing companies in Europe by the Financial Times, they are looking for a London based German Speaking Business Development Manager to target the DACH region. Reporting to the Head of European Business Development, you will be part of a fast-paced, target-driven team who love what they do and set out each morning to address one of the biggest social problems of our generation. Day to day you will be:

  • Building the Business Development strategy for the DACH region
  • Leading the end to end sales process into your prospects
  • Delivering new business by selling large scale pilot projects with major customers and converting them into broader rollouts
  • Developing relationships with key influencers in the market including contract caterers, hoteliers, cruise liners, major corporates and facilities services consultants
  • Expanding existing accounts and building on past successes
  • Monitoring competitors and keeping an eye out for potential co-operations or acquisitions
  • Taking up speaking opportunities at conferences and events

    Our client would like to meet with candidates who have:

  • Experience in SaaS sales will be welcomed
  • A good track record in delivering enterprise technology sales
  • SaaS sales experience would be ideal
  • Experience selling to the hospitality industry, primarily hotels and contract caterers
  • Fluent English and German language skills
  • A degree level education
  • A high level of comfort taking ownership and accountability for your work
  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
